Candle Care & Safety Guide
Before You Light Your Candle
At Warm Warren London, each candle is carefully handcrafted using natural soy wax and refined fragrance blends. To ensure a clean, safe and long-lasting burn, please read the following care instructions before lighting your candle.
⚠️ Important Safety Notice
Some of our decorative candles — including sculptural designs such as bears, bunnies and other statement pieces — may be packaged with decorative ribbons, twine or fabric accents for presentation purposes.
These decorative elements must be completely removed before lighting the candle.
Failure to remove ribbons, strings or any external decorative materials may result in a fire hazard.
Please ensure your candle is placed on a heat-resistant surface before burning, particularly when lighting sculptural or free-standing designs.
First Burn Matters
For container candles:
Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface during the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle’s life.
We recommend burning for 2–3 hours on the first use.
Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5mm.
This helps:
• Prevent excessive smoke
• Maintain a steady flame
• Reduce soot build-up
If the flame becomes too large, extinguish the candle, trim the wick and relight once cooled.
Burn Time Guidance
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep away from children, pets and draughts.
• Stop burning when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the base.
Sculptural Candles
Due to their artistic shape, sculptural candles may drip when burning. Always place them on a heatproof dish or tray large enough to catch melting wax. These designs are created to be both decorative and functional — burn with care.
Storage
Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discolouration or fragrance deterioration.
A Gentle Reminder
Candles are an open flame product. Always burn responsibly and follow basic fire safety precautions.
